Renata Russell, was trained at a Federated Department Store alteration work-room located in Dallas, Texas. It was Sanger-Harris, which is now Macy's Department Store. In 1979, after completing all levels of training, Mrs. Russell was promoted to Alterations Tailor. In 1985, Mrs. Russell and her family moved back to her hometown of Elkhart, Indiana. That is when she began working as a tailor at Gordon's Menswear (also known as Myer's Menswear). Two years later, she opened Russell's Alteration Shop on West Lexington. Then, after 8 years, the shop was moved to its current location on South Main Street. The shop is conveniently located next to the driveway entrance at the red-carpeted steps and customers may park right next to this entrance
